It is preferable to use a copper tube for the brake system. A copper tube is more elastic than steel, it is easier to mount on a car, it better tolerates the effects of an aggressive environment (remember, for example, salt, which is actively sprinkled on our roads in winter).
It is preferable to use steel for the clutch system. The steel tube is more rigid and is able to maintain a given configuration. In this case, this is important, since the clutch tube is short, usually without fasteners, with one end, as a rule, attached to the clutch hose, and the other - to the cylinder, bypassing the units in the engine compartment.
